Tropical Storm Igor likely to become a Category 4 hurricane

Tropical Storm Igor is expected to grow into a hurricane by Sunday and a Category 4 monster with sustained winds of about 135 mph within three days, as it charges west across the Atlantic.

It also is projected to make a pronounced turn to the northwest by next Wednesday on a path that would keep it well clear of the Lesser Antilles. If it holds to that, it would reduce the risk to the U.S. East Coast as well.
